There’s got to be a better way to mount this, these. 🤔

Transmission cooling Spring ‘23
Transmission temperatures 2023 are higher(?) than 2022. Quick check on data, ~40F
Floor crack
Battery was mounted so that floor flexed. Cracked fixed and new plate installed.
Wheel stud
First break. Front Left. Happy it was in the garage. Snapped under minimal load, mounting tire.
Catch can
For the Road Atlanta weekend, we changed the crank case ventilation from the intake manifold to a catch can, Turner’s. It was likely not designed for race use as ~50% of the oil aerosol passed through it and settled throughout the engine bay.
Engine 2.1
Sent the block out to be re-honed. Its condition was good and main bearings look so good they’ll be reused. The pistons have been coated in order to fill the small increase in cylinder bore diameter resulting from the honing.
Another minor casualty
Wheel nuts were not torqued. Fortunately the wheel stayed attached for the few laps of the session. Required replacement of the FR bearing, studs and wheel. May be able to have the wheel repaired.
Transmission Sensor
Had the sensor replaced while the box was out of the car. Before installing the transmission, checked the voltage output on the position sensor. Found this sensor provided reverse from expected. Low gears, higher V steps down as gear position increases.
Transmission checkup
Replaced some seals and the sensor. Looking good for another season 👍
Sensor was original with the box. Proactive replacement while box was out of the car.
Thermostat removal
To remove the thermostat from its housing, I used a spacer and m5 with a bit of gasket sealer around the housing dish.
